What We Do

Look out for our fundraising stalls. Any koha will be well-received. Besides accepting donations, we usually have a petition to sign or an opportunity to volunteer. If you sign up for our newsletter we will keep you up to date with any news or opportunities.

Our Major Projects

Empathy Aware — Educating empathy toward those in need whose voice is rarely heard with a listening ear. We’re building a collection of PDFs, videos, and other educational material to share with the public and contribute toward a more pro-social society.

Sun 4 Every 1 — Peer support for those dealing with highly stigmatised issues who have trouble finding appropriate support and feeling safe to disclose their issues.

Whānau Fuchsia — Our Intentional Community Project aimed at individuals who don’t fit in with the mainstream but still deserve love and belonging and the opportunity to contribute toward social good.

Our Ethos

“Looking out for the overlooked” and “including the excluded” isn’t easy, it takes community support, and unlike most charitable initiatives, we face the additional hurdle of getting people to care in the first place. We also have to deal the fact quite a few people have vested interest in harming those we’re trying to help.

That said, we have faith in a great deal of humans. We know if we’re honest and clear in our message, it will be received. Our ethos is to avoid manipulative or antagonizing tactics, and appeal to the best in people, offering the same respect we hope to receive. We make special effort to support and understand marginalized groups. Not because they deserve more love, but because they deserve just as much as anyone else.
