We’re developing an intentional community, ‘Whānau Fuchsia’, which aims to provide belonging for those who don’t “fit in” to mainstream society, and the opportunity to work alongside others for a truly good cause. Our whānau aims to care for and accommodate individuals and their unique circumstances, so any of us can reach our potential for heroism and happiness.
Whānau Fuchsia acts as the supportive backdrop for charitable work in line with Affirm Love’s values, like focusing on the overlooked and making sure everyone gets fair treatment. It also acts as a safe, supportive space for those who need it and abide by our community standards.
Our Vision
One day, we hope to have a plot of land for communal living for our Whānau Fuchsia. This will be our base to do much of our charitable work from and give people a real sense of community. Like Affirm Love and Whānau Fuchsia in general, our community will be governed according to the tried and true, Sociocratic “consent” model, which is a non-hierarchical, non-majority-vote system which makes sure everyone’s voice is considered fairly. Sociocracy is compatible with Anarchy.

At the moment we’re enlisting people to join us in fundraising and Educating Empathy. More opportunities will open up as the organisation grows and volunteers build trust and skills.
You don’t have to volunteer right now though. You can participate socially and see where you want to go from there.
